Since its humble launch in 2008, Record Store Day hasn't stopped growing. As more retailers find value in the surge in business, more labels and artists use the opportunity to drop unique releases and more fans flock to their local shops, the holiday feels like a win for everyone.

This year is no exception, with nearly 1,400 stores participating and over 500 exclusive "RSD exclusive" and "RSD first" releases. While that quantity ensures there's something for everyone to try to hunt down, it also can be a lot to sift through. As you plan out your record store visits on this year's installment, Saturday, Apr. 13, here are a few notables to stay on the lookout for while digging through bins. Happy hunting!
Jeff Tweedy - WARMER
The aptly titled follow-up to to 2018's WARM, this full-length offers an additional 10 songs of new material from the Wilco frontman. Tweedy also released his autobiography, Let's Go (So We Can Get Back): A Memoir Of Recording And Discording With Wilco, Etc…, landed him on the New York Times bestseller list.
Aretha Franklin - The Atlantic Singles 1967
This vinyl box set containing a total of five 7" singles contains some of the late Queen of Soul's most instantly recognizable work, including "Respect," "A Natural Woman (You Make Me Feel)" and "Chain Of Fools." Pick up this limited release for a piece of music history.
RZA – Birth Of A Prince
The Wu-Tang alum's third studio album is pressed to blue smoke vinyl for its first-ever release on the format. The album features guest appearances by Ol' Dirty Bastard, Ghostface Killah, Masta Killa and more.
Elvis Costello - Purse
Hot off the announcement of a co-headlining tour with Blondie this summer, the ever-prolific British singer/songwriter drops a special RSD EP collection of collaborations with some of music's greatest, including Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Johnny Cash and Burt Bacharach. The EP's fourth and final track, "Down At The Bottom," features lyrics written by Dylan with Costello handling the music and Larkin Poe joining him on vocals.
Erykah Badu / James Poysner – "Tempted"
Badu teamed up with Poysner, producer/engineer Steve Mandel, Thundercat and more for this cover of Squeeze's 1981 ubiquitous hit, "Tempted" (fun fact: the song was originally produced by the aforementioned Costello). Surprisingly, the exclusive Record Store Day release is the first time the cover version can be heard, as the recording has never been released and Badu has never performed it live, making this 7" a true RSD treat.
