There's no surprise that rap music was the most streamed genre on the list. Drake dominated the list with "God's Plan" at No. 1 and "Nice For What" at No. 2, two of his hit singles from 2018's Scorpion. One of the album's other viral singles, "In My Feelings," held the No. 5 spot as Post Malone took the No. 3 and No. 4 spot with "rockstar" and "Psycho," respectively. Lil Baby and Drake's "Yes Indeed," "Look Alive" by BlocBoy JB featuring Drake, late rapper XXXTentacion's "SAD!" and Offset and Metro Boomin's "Ric Flair Drip" rounded off the top nine.

Notably missing in the top 10 were women; Cardi B was the only female artist on the top 10 list with her hit, "I Like It" featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin. "Motorsport" by Migos featuring Nikki Minaj and Cardi B, "No Limit" by G-Easy featuring Cardi B and FEFE by 6ix9ine featuring Minaj and Murda Beatz were the only other songs featuring women.

The streaming platform also announced its top categories, as chosen by their editors, Their Artist Of The Year was unsurprisingly Drake, Album Of The Year went to Kacey Musgraves for Golden Hour, Song Of The Year was Cardi B, Bad Bunny and J Balvin's "I Like It," and Breakthrough Artist Of The Year went to Juice WRLD.

Apple Music made news itself this week as the streaming service hit 56 million users, still behind Spotify which is at 87 million users, but a milestone nonetheless.
