Artist amplification and music discovery platform WAV is launching a new web series that's being billed as "battle rap meets 'Survivor.'"

"Versus"will see 11 aspiring artists go head-to-head in a variety of challenges, with each contestant looking to avoid being voted off the show by their peers. Once they group has been whittled down to a final pair, the two challengers will each perform an original song using beats provided by Sonny Digital and Scoop Deville, best known for their production work for artists such as Future, 2 Chainz, and 21 Savage (Digital), Snoop Dogg, and Kendrick Lamar (Deville).

The winning contestant will be selected by viewer vote, and will receive a cool $10,000 cash prize plus a record deal. The show will also feature a slate of celebrity judges, with Trinidad James, Curren$y, Murs, and Casey Veggies among the first names announced.

The show's host and master of ceremonies will be industry veteran and "lifestyle specialist" Kenny Burns, best known for his entrepreneurial work with Diddy and promotional efforts on behalf of Jay Z.

"Versus" premiered today exclusively on Billboard; the series can also be watched using the WAV app.
