Ballad "I Will Always Love You" has seen a number of renditions over the years. Originally written and performed by country treasure Dolly Parton in 1973, "I Will Always Love You" went on to be covered by a number of famous singers, one of them being the late, great Whitney Houston.
In the early '90s, Houston recorded a new arrangement of the power ballad with help from super-producer and multi-GRAMMY winner David Foster, who famously worked on the soundtrack for "The Bodyguard," which starred Houston (her film debut) and Kevin Costner.
Well, the duo's "I Will Always Love You" cover was ultimately so successful that it won Record Of The Year at the 36th GRAMMY Awards in 1994. Watch Foster and Houston accept their award in this latest edition of GRAMMY Rewind above.
"Thank you, David, for such a great production," Houston breathlessly told the audience. "Thank you, Mommy and Daddy. Thank you, Lord. Thank you everybody who bought this record and loved it. God bless you."
