With less than a month to wait for the movie Ocean's 8 June 8 release, the main trailer dropped on April 12 and set the internet buzzing, in part over Rihanna's hacker character Nine Ball. With her all-female crew of thieves led by Sandra Bullock, the nine-time GRAMMY winner will demonstrate loyalty to their heist, as opposed to the duet "Loyalty" she performed with Kendrick Lamar, which won Best Rap/Sung Performance at the 60th GRAMMY Awards.

We know Rihanna will feel at home in the elegant surroundings of the Met Gala, which will include cameo appearances from celebrities and fashion editor Anna Wintour. Her partners in crime, who attempt to remove diamonds worth nine figures from Anne Hathaway's neck, are played by Bullock along with Awkwafina, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, and Sarah Paulson.
Unlike the GRAMMY Awards where James Corden keeps things moving and everybody laughing, in Ocean's 8 Corden plays an insurance investigator intent on frustrating the women's scheme. One wonders whether his attempt to get Rihanna will make him wish he hadn't tried, but it's too soon to tell.
Directed and co-written by Gary Ross, who brought Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss Everdeen character to life on the big screen, Ocean's 8 is a frontrunner for can't-miss flick of the summer. For Bullock, as the estranged sister of George Clooney's character in the other Oceans films, we bet she'll have something to prove.
