Drag City Records has announced that alt-folk singer/songwriter/harpist Joanna Newsom will soon embark on The Strings/Keys Incident Tour this fall. It will be her first set of shows in three years, kicking off in Philadelphia on Sept. 7.

After Philly, Newsom will play for three nights in New York City, Sept. 10–12, at the historic El Teatro at El Museo del Barrio. She will then follow with three nights in Chicago at Thalia Hall from Oct. 7–9 and close things out on Oct. 13 in Milwaukee.

Drag City's announcement says, "These will be rare and intimate performances by Joanna alone: solo voice, harp and piano."

Newsom's most recent album was 2015's Divers. Her musical catalog was made available on Apple Music, Tidal and Google Play for the first time in 2018; Drag City didn't begin sharing their artists' music on streaming services until 2017.

Tickets to her shows go on sale this Friday, April 5; more info here.
