GRAMMY-nominated pop powerhouse and dancer extraordinaire Jennifer Lopez fittingly wants to celebrate her upcoming 50th birthday, July 24, with music, dancing and all her fans. The Bronx-born star has announced a 25-date tour, her first trek in seven years, kicking off on June 7 in Los Angeles.
The It's My Party tour will then bring her killer moves and infectious energy to other huge venues across North America, including the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. on June 13, the American Airlines Center in Dallas and the United Center in Chicago on June 29. She will make two stops in Canada, in Toronto on July 7 and Montreal on July 10, followed by a July 12 show at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York. She will hold the final two concerts of the tour in Florida, in Orlando on July 23 and closing out in Miami on July 25.
In the video accompanying her social media announcement, Lopez shared her vision for the tour: "I know I'm going to give them a good show, I know I'm going to make sure that the music feels great, and the flow is right and the set is right. That's what I do…It's a party, baby!"
A press release emphasized that nothing will be held back for J. Lo's birthday extravaganza. The shows will be "a nonstop party mix of Jennifer's new and classic anthems, show-stopping choreography and dancers, dazzling wardrobe, jawdropping technology and set design, and all of the glamour and wow-factor fans have come to expect of Jenny from the Block," it said.
In addition to the excitement of celebrating J. Lo's birthday with the icon herself—fans are already freaking out on Twitter—the tour itself is a big deal. It is her first one since her first major solo tour, the Dance Again World Tour in 2012. Prior to that, she had a joint tour with Marc Anthony in 2007. Lopez' most recent concerts were during her Las Vegas residency, dubbed All I Have, from January 2016– September 2018, during which she performed 120 shows.

The multifaceted pop star's last LP was her eighth studio album, 2014's A.K.A. She released several singles last year, including the Spanish language "Te Guste" with rising Latin trap star Bad Bunny in November and the bilingual "Dinero" featuring DJ Khaled and Cardi B last May. She has teased a new track, "Medicine," featuring rapper French Montana, due out April 5.
