Janet Jackson may have just finished her State Of The World tour yesterday—she ended on a high note by headlining the Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco—but it seems like the GRAMMY-winner has more in store for us. This morning she teased a new single set to drop Friday, Aug. 17 on social media that features GRAMMY-nominated artist and Latin music heavy hitter Daddy Yankee
The single, "Made For You," is her first music release in three years. The last time we heard new music from the icon was in 2015 when she released Unbreakable, her 11th studio album. She had a longer recording hiatus prior to that album after Discipline, which was released back in 2008.
The new single's video will be produced by GRAMMY-winning director Dave Meyers. Meyers has worked on many iconic videos, including GRAMMY-winner Kendrick Lamar's "HUMBLE.," which won Best Music Video at the 60th GRAMMY Awards, as well as Jackson's "All for You" back in 2001.

Jackson received her first set of GRAMMY nominations back in 1986 for Control for Album of the Year and Best R&B Vocal Performance, Female and its hit single "What Have You Done For Me Lately" for Best R&B Song at the 29th GRAMMY Awards. She received her first GRAMMY win three years later for "Rhythm Nation 1814" for Best Music Video – Long Form at the 32nd GRAMMY Awards.
"Made For You" is available for pre-order now, and will be available to stream upon its release on Friday.
