- Members: Svein Berge, Torbjorn Brundtland
- Formed 1998, in Tromsø, Norway
- The Norwegian electronic duo found success in the U.K. with the release of their debut single, "So Easy." The track would up on their debut album two years later, Melody A.M., which went platinum in Norway and also sold more than a million copies worldwide.
- Röyksopp landed a GRAMMY nomination for 2014 for Best Dance/Electronic Album for their album, Do It Again, which featured Swedish singer/songwriter Robyn. A remix of the group's song, "The Girl And The Robot," was also nominated for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for 2009.
- The name Röyksopp came from the Norwegian word for a specific type of mushroom or the mushroom cloud associated with an atomic bomb.
