Admired by critics and touring off their fourth album, Miles and Santos are festival veterans who want you to know, "Stay hydrated."

Singer/songwriter Wes Miles and bass player Mathieu Santos of Ra Ra Riot visited with Texas Chapter during SXSW 2016, talking about their latest album Need Your Light and because they are SXSW veterans, there for the 6th time, they deliver festival advice for first-timers. For example, "Don't plan," because what you can do will not stick to the schedule, and "Stay hydrated." The other bandmembers are drummer Kenny Bernard, guitarist Milo Bonacci and violinist Rebecca Zeller. Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij was among the series of producers they had worked with in the past who they reprised on different tracks, to bring their own varied spectrum of sounds to the album, working with already established trust. "We've always tried to do something different every record," said Santos. "Something we had never done before was working with people that we had worked with before."
