At the 2006 GRAMMYs, Linkin Park took home the GRAMMY for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration alongside Jay-Z for the genre-defying hit "Numb/Encore." The evening was even more memorable as the band, Jay-Z and Paul McCartney joined forces for a showstopping performance of "Numb/Encore" and The Beatles' classic "Yesterday."

Speaking on the red carpet before the ceremony, Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington gushed over the thought of winning a GRAMMY alongside Jay-Z. "I will be really honored and shocked," he said, explaining that they didn't expect the song to be more than a moment on an MTV special. "To win would be even cooler."
