Country icon Johnny Cash brought his signature grit and charm to the 1970 GRAMMYs with "A Boy Named Sue." Backed by his Tennessee Three, Cash delivered a rollicking performance of the tongue-in-cheek tale of a son's lifelong grudge against his absent father.
Dressed in a tux and flashing that trademark half-smile, Cash drew the crowd in with the mix of humor and heart that made him a legend. "A Boy Named Sue" earned Cash a GRAMMY that night for Best Country Vocal Performance, Male, one of his 13 wins in his lifetime.
