R&B rising star H.E.R. had a night to remember at the 2019 GRAMMYs, where she earned her first nominations and took home two golden gramophones. Presented by BTS, her self-titled debut album H.E.R. won Best R&B Album, in a competitive Category that included Toni Braxton (Sex & Cigarettes), Leon Bridges (Good Thing), Lalah Hathaway (Honestly), and PJ Morton (Gumbo Unplugged (Live)).
Holding back tears, H.E.R. invited her team on stage to share the praise and thanked God, her parents, and her sister for their sacrifices and support. The multi-instrumentalist also secured the award for Best R&B Performance for her Daniel Caesar collab, "Best Part"; as of the 2024 GRAMMYs, H.E.R. has won five GRAMMYs and received 25 nominations.
