With a resume that includes world-class DJ, Crosstown Rebels founder, and Day Zero Festival creator, it's no surprise that Damian Lazarus is known to many in the electronic world as "The Wizard." While he knew he wanted to be a DJ as a teen, he admits his mixing process didn't exactly come naturally: "I was terrible at it for ages."

In this episode of Behind The Board, Lazarus takes fans inside his thoughtful process that's made him a leading figure in contemporary house and techno music. He also breaks down the wristwatch BPM hacks, worldwide crate-digging and personal reset that birthed his 2025 album, Magickal — and why "evoking something" is at the heart of it all.
