After having a breakthrough year in 2013 thanks to her debut single, "Royals," Lorde's winning streak continued at the 2014 GRAMMYs. The New Zealander took home two GRAMMYs for her smash hit, Best Pop Solo Performance and Song Of The Year, with the former marking her first-ever win.
In her short-and-sweet speech for Best Pop Solo Performance, Lorde admitted she "did not expect" to win, and thanked her fellow superstar nominees, Sara Bareilles, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry, and Justin Timberlake. To this day, Lorde remains one of the youngest GRAMMY winners of all time — and the youngest winner of Song Of The Year — as she was just 17 years old upon winning at the 2014 GRAMMYs.\
