Before Ann Mincieli became Alicia Keys' head of music and owner of New York's Jungle City Studios, she was learning from some of the most renowned engineers/producers in the business. She details some of the wisdom she gained from Dana Jon Chappelle, Bruce Swedien and Tony Maserati, and how she "took a tip from each and molded it into my style."

Even though she's three-plus decades into her career, Mincieli still considers herself "a student of the game." But when she's creating, her motivator remains the same: production that keeps listeners locked in.
