The Recording Academy and GRAMMY Museum welcomed music legends, industry leaders and rising stars who gathered for the 2025 GRAMMY Hall Of Fame Gala at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on May 16 — an evening dedicated to honoring iconic recordings and the artists behind them. The red carpet buzzed with anticipation as performers, inductees and presenters celebrated the power of music history and preservation. This year's gala paid tribute to 13 newly inducted recordings — including works by Santana, Gloria Estefan, Emmylou Harris, Cat Stevens, Luther Vandross, Jay-Z, and more. It also featured the debut of the Ray Charles "Architect of Sound" Award, presented to Jon Batiste for his genre-defying contributions to music. "It really is such a prestigious room, and when you just think about the legacy and the history of all things related to the GRAMMYs, I suppose to some degree, we feel like we're not worthy," said Monte Lipman, Co-President Republic Records, this year's label honoree.
Hosted by CBS News' Anthony Mason and produced by longtime GRAMMY showrunner Ken Ehrlich, the gala raised funds to support the GRAMMY Museum's education programs.
