GRAMMY-winning rapper, producer and singer T-Pain keeps his two golden gramophones right where they inspire him the most: his studio.
"It gives me a push, it gives me another reason to try to win again and really put my all into my music and really pay attention to my craft... It's that tunnel vision," he says in his Atlanta studio, which he calls "Nappy Boy Mansion."
In the latest rendition of Where Do You Keep Your GRAMMY, the Tallahassee, Fla. rapper, who won Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for "Blame It" and at the 52nd GRAMMY Awards and Best Rap Song for "Good Life" at the 50th GRAMMY Awards, talks about what his GRAMMY wins mean to him.
"A lot of the awards and the plaques are awesome, but I think I can speak for a lot of artists and a lot of musicians and composers when I say, man, the GRAMMYs are just something else," he says. "It's a different feeling because it's being judged and it's being looked at and it's being processed by a whole different community of people, it's not a popularity contest its something that we can look at and say, 'I won that because I was good at what I was doing.'"
