Tyler, The Creator has won Best Rap Album for IGOR at the 62nd GRAMMY Awards. This is his first ever GRAMMY win. Earlier in the show, he served up a (literally) lit performance of "EARFQUAKE" and "NEW MAGIC WAND" from IGOR.
In a tender moment, he brought his (crying and very excited) mother on stage to accept his golden gramophone.
"Stick with me, I don't know if I'm gonna be up here again," Tyler said during his acceptance speech. "One: to my mother, you did a great job raising this guy," he said, looking to his mom and smiling.
Tyler beat out fellow category nominees Dreamville (Revenge Of The Dreamers III), Meek Mill (Championships), 21 Savage (I AM > I WAS), and YBN Cordae (The Lost Boy).
Last year, at the 61st GRAMMY Awards, Cardi B won Best Rap Album in a historic moment, being the first women to win the title.
