According to multiple reports, including NME, the Spice Girls — Victoria Beckham (Posh), Melanie Brown (Scary), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty), Emma Bunton (Baby), and Geri Horner (Ginger) — are planning to reunite for some big projects in 2018, including a celebratory reunion TV special and new album.
"The five of them have been locked in secret talks since the summer, and finally they are all on-board for a 2018 reunion," a source told The Sun. "As it stands, they will be working together on a series of projects, which will include an album and a TV special celebrating the Spice Girls — and getting Victoria to agree has been a coup for everyone involved, given she has always been the person holding back on a reunion."
Horner hinted at a possible Spice Girls reunion in October. "I really pushed to get everyone back together," she told Red magazine. "I still love the girls and there are other bits and bobs in the pipeline."
The quintet last appeared together to perform their hits "Wannabe" and "Spice Up Your Life" at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The group released their last studio album, Forever, in 2000.
