SoundExchange Reports Q2 Royalty Payments
Performance rights organization SoundExchange distributed $95.8 million in royalty payments during the second quarter of 2012, down slightly from the record $108.6 million distributed during the first quarter of this year, according to Billboard.biz. SoundExchange has distributed $204.4 million in digital performance royalties in the first half of the year, putting the organization on track to surpass the $249 million total distributed in 2011.
