With a career bordering on 60 years, it's hard to fathom that Smokey Robinson has never released a holiday solo album.
The Motown icon will rectify that with Christmas Everyday, a 10-song holiday LP set for release Nov. 10 exclusively via Amazon Originals. As reported by Billboard, the album contains three originals plus seven classic renditions, including "Santa Claus Coming To Town," "White Christmas," "Silent Night," "Please Come Home For Christmas," and "O Holy Night."
Co-produced with Adam Anders ("Glee"), Robinson enlists multiple guests, including Take 6, the Dap-Kings, Mindi Abair, and Trombone Shorty.
"I was quite pleased when I was approached about doing a holiday album," Robinson said via a statement. "I love the feeling of Christmas … and these are some of my absolute favorite songs. Folks are going to be surprised by some of the arrangements."

In 1963 Robinson and his band, the Miracles, released Christmas With The Miracles. The name of Robinson's new album is based on an original track from that album, "Christmas Everyday."
