Queen Latifah received the Jimmy Iovine Icon Award at the Revolt Music Conference in Miami on Oct. 14 in celebration of her career as a rapper, singer, actress, activist, and philanthropist.
Fellow GRAMMY winner Sean "Diddy" Combs presented the prestigious award to Latifah, saying, "Queen Latifah is Revolt. She spoke her mind in music and wasn't afraid to stand up for justice. She's fearless."
Previous recipients of Revolt's Icon Award include its namesake, Jimmy Iovine, as well as L.A. Ried and last year's recipient, Nas.
Latifah, an endless source of inspiration, closed her speech by saying, "Don't put a padlock on your mind. Dream big and believe you can make it happen."
