'60s pop/rock mainstays The Monkees have announced a 2020 tour launching in April and a new album to be released the same month.
The "I'm A Believer" band will launch the tour called An Evening With The Monkees on April 3 in Vancouver. The tour will wrap up on April 26 in Nashville, according to Rolling Stone.
The band is also reportedly releasing a live album on April 3, The Mike & Micky Show Live, named after members Michael Nesmith and Micky Dolenz's 2019 tour, The Monkees Present: The Mike and Micky Show.
The Monkees grew out of a television series of the same name that aired in the late '60s and was eventually canceled. The band continued to make music after the show. Surviving members Nesmith and Dolenz will perform on the 2020 tour.
