The music community is banding together to help those in need affected by the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey in Texas.
The latest GRAMMY winner to offer support is Miranda Lambert. Specifically, her MuttNation Foundation will be looking to provide shelter, transportation and assistance for pets in need.
"We are headed to Houston to give relief to municipal shelters," read a post on the foundation's Instagram account. "We will help transport any animals currently in shelters so that there is room for displaced animals from Hurricane Harvey! Plus any other support we can offer!!!"
The cause hits close to home for Lambert, a native of Lindale, Texas, a city located approximately 200 miles north of Houston. In 2009 the country singer/songwriter founded the MuttNation Foundation with her mother, Bev, to promote the adoption of shelter pets.
Donations to support the MuttNation Foundation's hurricane relief can be made through its website.
