Live Nation Reports Sales Down 12 Percent
As a follow-up to a recent Pollstar report, Live Nation Entertainment reported a 12 percent decline in ticket sales for its top 100 touring acts and a 9 percent drop in gross ticket revenue to $822 million for the first six months of 2010, compared to the same point in 2009. The company predicted a possible additional 15 percent drop in ticket sales for the second half of the year and that its adjusted operating income will reach $405 million, which would represent a 9 percent year-over-year decline.
