In June Paul McCartney shared two lyric videos from his upcoming solo album Egypt Station, scheduled for release on Sept. 7. Then on Aug. 15, the former Beatle and winner of 18 GRAMMY Awards shared a third, delicately titled "Fuh You."

Although we might describe his boyish enthusiasm here as "for you," the up-tune's ebullient lyrics leave no doubt a bedroom meaning is intended. The track was the only one off Egypt Station to be produced by Ryan Tedder, as Greg Kurstin handled those duties for the rest of the album.
McCartney seems to be everywhere these days leading up to his album release. On Aug. 14, Sir Paul was abashed as James Corden showed him around the less-than-sentimental office suite where the late-night host's memories are made and magic happens. Corden's sandwich-making instructions were precise and Brian from accounting was good-natured, but the two agreed their June Carpool Karaoke episode generated greater excitement. Flipping the script, this turned into their announcement for the Aug. 20 special "Carpool Karaoke: When Corden Met McCartney — Live From Liverpool," airing Monday at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.

In Sept. the incomparable balladeer's Freshen Up Tour will take him to four dates in Canada, followed by his October appearances headlining Austin City Limits 2018. Then it's off to Tokyo on Halloween and international dates ending in London on Dec. 16. Like the distinctive art for Egypt Station, this is a man who crosses timelines and boundaries, both national and linguistic, while maintaining his impeccably British charm.
