A selection of possessions once owned by Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain will go up for auction next month.

The boundaries of what constitutes a piece of rock history undoubtedly vary from fan to fan, and there's certainly a wide variety to choose from in the upcoming offering, hosted by Julien's Live Auctions.
For the traditionalists, there are sketches and working song lyrics handwritten on notebook paper, posters from notable gigs the band played early in their career, a studio receipt for "Here She Comes," an unused track recorded for the band's breakout sophomore album, Nevermind, and even the band's MTV Video Music Award, won in 1992 for Best New Artist In A Video, for "Smells Like Teen Spirit."
However, there are also a few things to choose from for the super fans who feel the need to own anything and everything once touched by their musical hero – including a plastic wallet once owned by Cobain containing only the printed addresses of Nirvana's management company, their accounting firm, and Cobain's rental membership card to now-defunct Blockbuster Video.
