Bandcamp Senior Editor Marcus J. Moore announced on March 22 that he has signed a deal with Touchstone Books to write the definitive cultural biography of GRAMMY-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar's life, early career, and ultimate rise to fame.
Moore announced the forthcoming documentary via Twitter, saying the book will be titled The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited The Soul Of Black America and "detail his rise to rap stardom" and reflect on "his profound impact on a racially fraught America."

Touchstone Books, a Simon & Schuster publishers imprint, has previously been responsible for the acclaimed biographies Paul McCartney: A Life and Bruce, the latter chronicling the career of Bruce Springsteen.
