Singer/songwriter Jorge Drexler has taken home one of the biggest awards of the night, Record Of The Year, at the 19th Latin GRAMMY Awards, sealing the night and adding to his list of wins for the evening.

The Uruguayan took home the award for "Telefonía," a love song inspired by actress Leonor Watling, who he has children with, about sending messages via phone calls. The song is from Drexler's Salvavidas De Hielo which was nominated for Album Of The Year and won Best Singer-Songwriter Album. He was among one of the biggest winners of the night also taking home Song Of The Year. Drexler, who has five other GRAMMY wins under his belt, performed the song at the awards show.
Other nominees included Spanish pop star Pablo Alborán's "No Vaya Ser" about a hot and cold love, Brazil's Anaadi with É FAKE, J Balvin with one of his biggest hits yet, "Mi Gente," Puerto Rican singer/songwriter Kany García with "Para Siempre," Colobian electro-cumbia group Bomba Estéreo with Bomba Estéreo with their Latin American anthem "Internacionales," Uruguayan singer/songwriter Jorge Drexler's "Telefonía" about a romance that lives through telephone messages, Nicky Jam's pop hit featuring J Balvin, "X," Mexico's songstress Natalia Lafourcade and her song Danza De Gardenias featuring Los Macorinos, Colombian group Monsieur Periné's "Bailar Contigo," and Spanish rising star Rosalia's hit, "Malamente."
