Johnny Cash's groundbreaking 1968 live album, At Folsom Prison, immortalized the man and the moment. Now, nearly 50 years later, Cash's legacy has been honored with the completion of the Johnny Cash Trail, a 2.5-mile hiking and biking route that runs through the city of Folsom, Calif., including prison property.
In a dedication ceremony on Oct. 14, Cash's daughter Cindy Cash, delivered an emotional speech to commemorate the completion of the trail, noting that her father would have been honored by the event, according to Billboard.
Folsom has further plans to install large pieces of art to pay tribute to the 13-time GRAMMY winner and highlight Cash's remarkable story.
