GRAMMY-winning singer Jennifer Hudson will pay tribute to late basketball player Kobe Bryant and the eight people who died with him at the NBA All-Star game at the United Center on Feb. 16 in Chicago.
The league said the performance will take place before player introductions of the 69th annual game that will air live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT. Bryant died, along with his daughter Gianna and seven other people, in a helicopter crash on Jan. 26.
NBA All-Star will also feature other musical stars including Chaka Khan, who will perform the National Anthem, and Tenille Arts, who will perform the Canadian national anthem. Quavo, Chicago's Chance The Rapper, DJ Khaled and Lil Wayne will also take the stage for a special performance at the half-time show.
During All-Star Saturday, going live at 8 p.m. ET on TNT Feb. 15, Queen Latifah will perform a special version of Stevie Wonder's "Love’s in Need of Love Today" with Chicago youth. The same night Lil Wayne will join Chicago's Jeremih and Dame D.O.L.L.A. for a performance before the ATT Slam Dunk contest in which Common, another Chicagoan, will judge.
The Chicago Children's Choir will open all festivities with a performance of the national anthem before the NBA Rising Stars on Feb. 14 at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
