Green Day have teamed up with the National Hockey League (NHL) to get fans turned up during hockey games.

The band have announced a two-year promotional partnership with the league and will have their new song "Fire, Ready, Aim" be the theme of "Wednesday Night Hockey" on NBCSN.  The song will be featured in the band's forthcoming album Father Of All... out early 2020. Additional songs from the album will also be heard throughout the season on the programming, while Green Day songs will be heard in the arenas, the Associated Press reports.

Green Day tweeted out their excitement and said the season would be one to remember: "This @NHL season is hereby known as LOUD season...where the toughest athletes to ever lace up a pair of skates meet the baddest rock band on the planet Turn up the volume, "Fire, Ready, Aim" & enjoy. Wait, did we just tease a BRAND NEW SONG?! @NHLonNBCSports #WNH #NHLGreenDay."

Speaking on the theme song, NBC Sports executive producer Sam Flood told the AP that they think "Fire, Ready, Aim" "Fits really well with hockey” and that “The song and the way it’s executed is really fun.”

Green Day is set to release their latest album, Father Of All..., on Feb. 7.
