It is the mission of the GRAMMY Music Education Coalition to change this unfortunate truth and work toward a world where all public school students can participate in high-quality music education. With March being Music In Our Schools Month, what better time to address this issue than now?

The Coalition is leading a national campaign to build universal music education participation in elementary and secondary schools nationwide, launching artist ambassador and school participation initiatives .

The GRAMMY Music Education Coalition supports the next generation of minds in many ways, including.working with its various partners to make bring hands-on music education to students, creating a lasting difference in their lives. After all, according to a study by the NAMM Foundation, one of the Coalitions partners, 89 percent of teachers and 82 percent of parents rate music education highly as a source for greater student creativity.

"Music education shouldn’t be a luxury–let’s give students nationwide without access to music education the opportunities they deserve," the coalition said in a campaign tweet.
