Beloved Warner Bros. toons are scheduled to crash land and take over the second floor of L.A. Live's GRAMMY Museum from Aug. 19 through Sept. 9 as The Get Animated Invasion arrives, celebrating the action-filled engagement between music and iconic animated art.

In conjunction with content partner Boomerang and following on last year's successful pop-up exhibit in New York City, visiting dignitaries from another world include Bugs Bunny, the Jetsons and Scooby-Doo. You might think you've stepped into Space Jam as 2D co-exists with 3D, accompanied by the memorable music playing when as children we fell in love with the world of our imaginations. Future ambassadors such as Channing Tatum's Migo from Smallfoot will be on hand and space-age fandom will be celebrated in Judy Jetson's reimagined and fan-shrine filled bedroom.
"The GRAMMY Museum celebrates music in all its forms, making it the perfect place to bring the classic characters of Warner Bros. cartoons to life through music," said GRAMMY Museum Artistic Director Scott Goldman. "Whether you know the cartoons by heart or will experience them for the first time through this interactive exhibit, this is a fresh new music-first experience for all. Many thanks to Warner Bros. for letting these beloved characters invade the GRAMMY Museum."

Other tunes in attendance will include the Animaniacs, the Flintstones and for classical music fans — Tom and Jerry. The otherworldy Get Animated Records reimagines generations of accompaniment as inspired vinyl album covers. You'll wish you lived in both the 2D and the 3D worlds and you might realize that to some extent, powered by our imaginations and music, maybe you do already.
Tickets will become available at the GRAMMY Museum website on Aug. 1 for Museum members and on Aug. 8 to the general public. Reservations are required.
