Why Selena Still Reigns Supreme

"What a great way to celebrate an icon. I think it will bring great joy to all her fans who follow her and look up to her as a role model," says Suzette Quintanilla, the GRAMMY-winning legend's sister. "Selena would be so excited. It's such an honor."

Selena brought so much joy to this world before her life was tragically cut short in 1995 at age 23 when she was murdered. This latest celebration of her life and career is a fitting one, as today marks the anniversary her debut solo album, Selena, which was released Oct. 17, 1989.
