Trance DJs Dave Dresden and Josh Gabriel first came together in Miami in the early 2000s, collaborating on classic electronica remixes as Gabriel & Dresden. As we caught up with the reunited duo at 2018's Ultra Music Festival, their reminiscing was pushed to the side by their new creative work together.
Having turned to Kickstarter fan-funding to produce their 2017 reunion album The Only Road, Gabriel & Dresden found it refreshing to have their fans-turned-investors on board throughout production. With feedback online and from new audiences as they returned to playing their classics, being back together again was a whole new experience. "We went to Gabriel & Dresden school just by playing our old music," Dresden said.
