"We're in talks about doing some [shows] in South America — in Argentina, Chile, Brazil — and a big Mexican tour," Wendy Dio told Argentina-based journalist Lucas H. Gordon. "That would be in February [2018]. And then we're hoping for America for the summer."
The tour will kick off first in Finland on Nov. 30 before traveling around Europe through Germany, the U.K., Poland, Spain, Belgium, and Holland. Altogether, the tour is expected to encompass over 100 dates across Europe and the Americas. Featuring a band comprising some of Dio's former bandmates, the show will include a career-spanning setlist, including fan favorites such as "Holy Diver," "Rainbow In The Dark," "We Rock," Black Sabbath's "Neon Knights," and Rainbow's "Man On The Silver Mountain."
The Dio hologram, produced by Eyelusion, made its first appearances at Germany's Wacken Open Air Music Festival in 2016, then at the Pollstar Awards in L.A. earlier this year. Soon after, Wendy Dio announced that plans were being made to put together a tour to bring the spectacle to stages around the world.
