Korean pop sensations BTS revealed some big news via Twitter on April 16, announcing their new album Love Yourself: Tear will drop on May 18. The full-length album will be their third, following 2014's Dark & Wild and 2016's Wings, and will serve as the sequel to last year's Love Yourself: Her EP.

Just last month, BTS teased in a different direction, releasing "Euphoria: Theme Of Love Yourself: Wonder," with a dark, cinematic intro followed by the infectious new song, leading many to believe the new album would be named Love Yourself: Wonder. The single and video arrived the same week as the group released Face Yourself in Japan, which, along with the success of J-Hope's solo album Hope World, have built a momentum behind the group

While few details about Love Yourself: Tear have been revealed, BTS's official fan site known as fan cafe in Korea, claims pre-orders for the album will be available on April 18. According to Billboard, pre-order sales for Love Yourself: Her surpassed 1 million copies and the album ultimately peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200.

With high expectations and even higher excitement for BTS' latest, Love Yourself: Tear is one of the most anticipated pop albums in the world this year, making the next month of awaiting its arrival a long one for the group's millions of fans.
