Bruno Mars is going to Disneyland! The 11-time GRAMMY winner has landed a deal with Disney to develop a music-themed feature film in which he'll star as well as produce. No details about the movie's plot have been announced, but the forthcoming film will "consist of mostly original music" created and performed by Mars, according to Deadline.
Following the news about the upcoming project, Mars took to Twitter to celebrate the freshly inked deal. He posted a cheery video of him playing the iconic song "When You Wish Upon A Star," from the 1940 Disney classic, Pinocchio, on the piano and quoted its memorable lyrics in the caption.

In addition to his extensive discography as a songwriter, producer and solo artist, Mars counts several film credits to his name. He played a child Elvis impersonator in the 1992 comedy, Honeymoon In Vegas, and voiced the character of Roberto in the 2014 animated film, Rio 2. The forthcoming Disney project will mark the singer's first major film role.
An all-time GRAMMY champ, Mars' last album, 2016's 24K Magic, swept the 60th GRAMMY Awards, held in 2018, with six huge wins, including: Album Of The Year; Record Of The Year, for the eponymous lead single; and Song Of The Year, for album single "That's What I Like."
