The GRAMMY-winning pop star shared the message on her website and social channels, including several posts on Twitter, writing how difficult the decision was for her.
"I don't even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I've been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart," Spears wrote.
Many admirers responded to the tweet with positive messages, to which she followed up with three more posts today, one of which acknowledged the love from her fans. She said: "I appreciate your prayers and support for my family during this time. Thank you, and love you all…always."

Britney: Domination was set to take over the new Park Theater in Las Vegas starting this February, with dates set until August. The announcement on Spears' website shares that ticket refunds are now available from the original point of service.
The new residency was announced in October 2018, following the huge success of her first Vegas residency. Spears took over Sin City with Piece of Me at Planet Hollywood, which began in 2013 and was originally set as a 50-show, two-year venture. The pop legend ended up doing 248 performances in Vegas with Piece of Me, wrapping up on Dec. 31, 2017, and raking in an impressive $137.7 million total ticket sales over the four-year takeover.
