Alessia Cara released her debut album Know-It-All in late 2015, which reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200. She was already a star online, and her catalog of hits has proven she can co-write and perform with incredible artists such as Elton John. Now with her successful debut behind her, on June 15 Cara released "Growing Pains," her first single from her sophomore album.

Combining the credibility and naturalness that has become her signature with tough insights, Cara shares the sights of the new road she travels on in "Growing Pains." With a building and uplifting beat to build upon, Cara's new lyric confesses, "Now that monsters are the ones that I have to face, no band-aids for the growing pains." And while coming from such a wild ride to success into a highly anticipated second album, Cara also promises, "There's truth in every word I write," assuring fans they are still getting the real thing in her new music.

Winner of Best New Artist at the 60th GRAMMY Awards, Cara drew three additional nominations. Her suicide prevention co-write "1-800-273-8255" was nominated for Best Music Video and Song Of The Year, from Logic's May 2017 album Everybody, also featuring Khalid. Nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, her co-write "Stay" with Zedd was featured on the May 2017 soundtrack for the movie Everything, Everything. The details add up to a true singer/songwriter, confident in her art, developing her craft.
