Alt-pop trio AJR brought their energetic live set (and some burritos) to their 2019 Lollapalooza performance this past weekend.
The group, made up of brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan, also stopped by to chat with the Recording Academy to share why they love playing festivals like Lolla.
"I really like that everyone is here for the music and the music alone, coming to just experience the music," lead vocalist Jack Met said. "It's kind of a rare thing in today's sort of music climate, which is much more about image and followers and stuff, but at a festival you're in front of the stage and you're just like, 'I like this song,' 'I don't like this song, let's go over there, that feels really cool.'"
The brothers also talked about how a recent fan mashup of Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" and their "Don't Throw Out My Legos" has them wanting to collab with the rising rapper.
