Meet your Grammy U Team

About Our Team

Grammy U Representatives

There are 15 Grammy U student Representatives across 12 Recording Academy Chapters located in many of the country's legendary music centers. The Reps oversees member relations within their Chapters, and handle all programming and initiatives for Chapter's Grammy U members. As part of their intensive mentorship program as part-time staff at the Recording Academy, our Reps receive the opportunity to experience Grammy Week in Los Angeles, host interviews on the red carpet, and contribute to our national programs like the annual Grammy U Conference. The Reps further support the National team through their work within the Digital Marketing and Membership Committees, handling tasks like the Grammy U Mixtape and the Grammy U social platforms.

Reps must be Grammy U members who are full-time students pursuing a career in music, and their time in their role can range from 1-3 years. Reps who have completed the Grammy U program have gone on to pursue successful careers at Sirius XM, Rolling Stone, The Academy Awards, SXSW, Spotify and even continued on here at the Recording Academy.

Applications to become a Grammy U Rep open annually in the Spring.

The Membership team supports all Grammy U member relations, curates the overall Rep and Ambassador experience, and facilitates the global Mentorship Program.

Ambassadors

Ambassadors are the voice of Grammy U members in their Chapters. Working directly with their local Grammy U Representative, Ambassadors serve as the volunteer street team by supporting recruitment efforts in their schools and community. Ambassadors also support their local Grammy U Rep in local programming. As an Ambassador, members receive exclusive member opportunities like volunteering and attending programs at Grammy Week and priority pairing in the Grammy U mentorship program.

Dive deeper into developing your resume, gain real-world experience, and meet other motivated members while volunteering within your local music community. Grammy U is currently seeking Ambassadors to apply for the 2026-2027 program year. Applications are open through Friday, Sept. 4. Apply today!
