About the San Francisco Chapter
Founded in 1973, the SF Chapter serves members across Northern California, Northern Nevada, Utah, and Colorado through advocacy, mentorship, and creative connection. The Chapter encompasses a rich musical history that ranges from generation-defining rock and funk to groundbreaking punk, thrash, and hip-hop, as well as a prolific classical music community. Home to marquee artists including Tom Waits, MC Hammer, Nathaniel Rateliff, Kehlani, Green Day, Santana, Sly Stone, Neil Young, Metallica, and the Grateful Dead.
