The oldest and largest Recording Academy chapter, tracing roots to co-founders Nat 'King' Cole, Sammy Cahn, and Sonny Burke. Covers a vast musical landscape from beach music (Beach Boys) to West Coast rap (Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar) and classical (LA Philharmonic). Also home to the Recording Academy's national headquarters.
