Founded in November 1995, the Florida Chapter of the Recording Academy has brought musicians and creatives together from across Florida and Puerto Rico. Since its creation, the Chapter has played a pivotal role in expanding the diverse talents of the region to a national level.

Ranging from Latin influences to urban talents, southern rock to EDM (electronic dance music), the Florida Chapter represents a vast array of genres. The Florida Chapter is home to musical legends such as Gloria Estefan, Pitbull, DJ Khaled, Bad Bunny, Camila Cabello, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Luis Fonsi, Flo Rida, Rosalía, City Girls, and many more. Additionally, the Chapter serves as the host to multiple major music festivals: Ultra Music Festival, III Points Music & Arts Festival, and Welcome to Rockville.

In addition to being a musical powerhouse, the Florida Chapter works to provide opportunities for all creatives across the industry, including artists, producers, songwriters, engineers, and professionals alike. In collaboration with MusiCares, the Florida Chapter also participates in service initiatives to give back to their communities.

The Florida Chapter of the Recording Academy is a collective of music, art, service, and community to all members across the region.
