Music journalist, artist manager and self-proclaimed “country music disrupter” Holly G writes freelance about country music with bylines at Taste of Country, The Boot, No Depression, and Holler. She is the founder of the Black Opry. The Black Opry started as a website, blackopry.com, where she profiled Black artists who work in country, folk, Americana, and adjacent genres. It has since grown into an in-person community of Black artists and fans that come together to celebrate this music. The Black Opry also has a nationwide touring showcase with over 50 dates scheduled well into 2023.
