- Born Makonnen Sheran on April 12, 1989, in Los Angeles, California
- Makonnen Sheran, who performs under the moniker iLoveMakonnen, caught the public's attention in 2014 when Drake released a remix of his song "Tuesday." Prior to that, his single "I Don't Sell Molly No More" caught the attention of Miley Cyrus, who shared it via Instagram. In 2014, the artist signed to Drake's label, OVO Sound, and he subsequently released his self-titled debut album.
- The "Tuesday" remix, featuring Drake, earned iLoveMakonnen his first GRAMMY nomination for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 57th GRAMMY Awards.
