- Band members: Residente (René Pérez Joglar) and Visitante (Eduardo Cabra Martínez)
- Formed 2004 in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico
- Calle 13 released their self-titled debut album in 2005, which hit No. 6 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. Their second album, 2007's Residente O Visitante, hit No. 1 on the same chart.
- The duo won their first career GRAMMY for 2007 for Best Latin Urban Album for Residente O Visitante. Calle 13 won their first three career Latin GRAMMY Awards for 2006, including Best New Artist.
- Residente played a tattoo artist in the 2009 film Old Dogs, starring alongside Robin Williams.
- In support of The Latin Recording Academy's Latin GRAMMY In The Schools initiative, Calle 13 donated $40,000 worth of instruments to Escuela Especializada de Bellas Artes Pablo Casals in Bayamón, Puerto Rico.
- In 2015 the Nobel Peace Summit recognized Residente with the Nobel Peace Summit Award for his song lyrics and his support for social causes. The rapper/songwriter became the first Latin American recipient of the honor.
